I love the outdoors so a prevailing theme of my art is the interpretation of flora and fauna’s intrinsic shapes and colors. Intrigued by the effects that human intervention have on our natural world, I use the juxtaposition of organic and geometrical (man-made) shapes to create evocative paintings. Sometimes this duality elicits whimsy and nostalgia; sometimes abandonment and dereliction.
Artist Profile
SUE SELVEY is an active fine arts professional in the Charleston, SC area. She is an exhibiting artist at several art galleries in the low country as well as being an Artist of the Month at the Goose Creek Community Center. Her work is also displayed at various public buildings and professional offices in the area. Her works are in private collections throughout the U.S. - from Wyoming to Texas, California to New York. All paintings displayed on this site are for sale. Prices shown are for unframed painting only. Double matting, for pastels and watercolors, are included free if requested. Free shipping on unframed artwork. Shipping for framed works are at cost. Sue also accepts commissions, especially of horse and pet portraits.
